 In normal mode, resolution is 16 bits @ 10 samples/sec. In fast

YMOD modules are compatible with many data acquisition

software packages. They come with drivers for DASYLab

and

ActiveX

, plus OCX, DDE, and DLL libraries.

 These modules are intended for use with four types of RTD sensors:

Pt100  =0.00385, Pt100  =0.003916, Pt1000 =0.00385, and

Ni120. Minimum input impedance is 20MΩ

 Output voltage ranges are 0~5V, 0~10V, ±5V, ±10V.

 Each input can be used either as a separate 16-bit event counter or

as an input. On a given module, these lines can be used in any

combination of counters and inputs.

 These modules are intended for use with any one of seven types of

RTD sensors: Pt100 =0.00385, Pt100  =0.003916, Pt1000

=0.00385, Ni120, Cu100  =0.00421, Cu100  =0.00427, and

Cu1000  =0.00421. Minimum input impedance: 20MΩ

Now you can take advantage of the power and speed of USB and

Ethernet protocols without redesigning your existing serial

networks. Our new family of C

YMOD 7000 modules includes the

CM 7561, which converts USB ports into serial ports, as well as

the CM 7188 series, which converts 10/Base-T Ethernet ports

into RS-232/422/485 serial ports. You can find detailed descriptions

and specifications on our website. These modules are built for the

rigors of the shop or laboratory floor. They can be powered from

unregulated 10~30V

DC lines, and they can withstand operating

temperatures up to 167

F (75

C).

New CYMOD 7000 Modules Simplify Design of DA & C Systems

We’ve added more than 30 new CYMOD 7000 remote modular DAS

modules to our lineup, based on customer requests! Now, matching a

module to your application is much easier. Our line of CYMOD analog

input models now includes two new 8-input models, expanded thermo-

couple and RTD ranges, plus expanded strain-gauge compatibility.

There are two new analog-output modules with programmable power-

on values and output slopes. Twelve new digital I/O modules have

inputs that can also be used as 16-bit counters, outputs that support up

to 100 mA per channel, and LEDs that show I/O and relay status.

In addition, there are new isolated serial converters and repeaters

to help you mix and match RS-232/422/485 signals. You get up to

256 modules on one RS-485 bus without a repeater or as many as

2048 modules on one RS-485 bus with CM 7510 repeater modules.

To take advantage of Ethernet and USB buses, we have added seven

new converter modules (see page 144).

They aren’t technically CYMOD modules, but we also added two

DIN-mount Ethernet switches (see pg. 121) that can store and forward

data so that each connected device can communicate at either 10 or

100 Mbps without affecting the speed of other attached devices.

Ring-redundant ESW 405 Ethernet switches are on our website.

Dual Watchdog Timers — Double Protection

Host watchdog timer: If contact is lost with the host PC, the

software-based Host Watchdog automatically sets the

module’s output lines to the safe values that you determine.

Module watchdog timer: If the module halts, the hardware-

based Module Watchdog forces the module’s output lines to

their predefined power-on values and restarts the module.
