Provide Additional +5V Power to Accessory Panels
Some accessory panels require
more +5V power than can be
carried in a strand of ribbon
cable. For those boards, we now
have a heavier cable with 4-pin
Molex connectors. This 10-foot
cable brings +5V power from
any accessory power connector
on the power supply inside your
PC out to an external panel.
A CBL MOL10 cable is included
with CYERB 08/24/48, CYSTA
5B08/5B16, & CYSSR 24 panels.

Provide Additional +5V Power to Accessory Panels
The CBL 3700, 3740, and 3750
bring the internal port built onto
many C
YDAS A/D boards out to the
rear of the PC. The CBL 3700 brings
an internal 37-pin port to a DB-37
rear connector-with-bracket; it is used
with the C
YDAS 8, 16, 16F, 16JRC, and
C
YCTM 10. The CBL 3740 converts
a 40-pin header to a 37-pin rear
connector, and is used with the C
YDAS
8AO, 1600, and 1802M1. The CBL
3750 brings any 50-pin header (such
as the C
YPDISO 16’s) out to a DB-37.

CYDAS cables are almost always equipped with socket-type
(female) connectors at each end. Most CYDAS I/O boards, terminal
panels, and other accessories have pin-type (male) connectors
because, of the two, the sockets are more likely to wear out as a
result of disconnection and reattachment of cables over time. A
tight connection is essential to maintaining good signal quality,
and it’s more economical to replace a cable than a board.
A choice of both flat-ribbon cables with IDC connectors and
round, shielded cables with molded connectors are available.
Economical ribbon cables are the most popular cable choice and
are suitable for low-noise environments. Shielded cables are the
best choice for analog connections in noisy environments.
Our S-Series double-shielded cables (CBL 37xxFS) are
designed to provide maximum noise immunity, with both a foil
shield and a braided shield around 26
AWG conductors. They are
required in some cases, such as when connecting a CYSSH panel to an
A/D board.
CYDAS cables with two DB-37 (37-pin) socket-type (female) “D”
connectors are used to connect a screw terminal or accessory
panel with a DB-37 pin-type (male) connector, to the DB-37 pin-
type (male) connector on your CYDAS board (located at the back of
the PC).
